Karen has a winning combination of skills – a long and successful career as an accountant in commerce and industry and many years’ experience representing the local community as an elected Councillor with the City of Mitcham.
During her working life Karen has held senior roles in corporate services and finance across various industries including fast moving consumer goods, building and industrial maintenance, trade and economic development, not for profit health, aged care and disability sectors and community sport. Karen’s work experience is supported by tertiary qualifications in Commerce and a Masters of Business Administration.
Karen’s professional career and exposure to the local, state and national political environment has provided her with outstanding skills in the areas of negotiation, communication, marketing and branding. She has the tenacity to achieve amazing outcomes.
Karen is actively involved in with a number of local community and resident’s groups where she is recognised for being authentic, having the ability to create genuine connections and actively contributing to the local community.
